- It was a sign that mankind was not doomed and delivered out of the dark ages, hence the age of enlightenment.in today's world it feels sometimes as dark,so maybe there is hope? but what do i know.
- Renaissance art is still an inspiration for current art, sculpture and architecture. It was a break-away from the flat, non-dimensional art of the middle ages to a more realistic depiction of the subject. There were so many discoveries at that time that are still in use today: perspective, foreshortening, chiaroscuro, etc etc. It is classic and timeless and is still admired for all of the innovation.
- I would guess because it is still in style. It has out lasted most arts, except maybe Egyptian. and........hey they built the first roadway system all roads lead to Rome.......or was that Paris I always get lost.
