Why Italy

Why is there no white, chinese, indian, italian, irish, english, arabian, japanese, etc. history months?

Native americans were also forced out of their homelands. They were killed, backstabbed, we gave them diseases, made them walk all the way to Oklahoma because we didn't want them on the east coast (Trail of Tears) just to name a few injustices. They were here long before we were. I think that they were discriminated against much more than black people. They were not forced out of their land. They actually sold themselves into slavery. The native americans did not have a choice. Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not racist, I just think that there should be some fairness shown to other groups.

  1. Because there was no chinese, indian, italian, irish, english, arabian, japanese, slavery here in the US and no chinese, indian, italian, irish, english, arabian, japanese only bathrooms, resturants etc... However you are correct in one aspect of your question, All of these groups were discriminated against, all of us have that in common.
  2. Blacks have been mistreated by our country more than any other ethnic group. The obvious fact that the majority of blacks in this country descended from people who were forced out of thier homeland and made slaves in a foreign land means that this group of people have an incredibly different history in our country than any other who came here by choice. And even after slavery was abolished it took many years before blacks were given the same rights as non-blacks. And of course equal treatment still does not truly exist today. It seems to me that it's very important that all Americans understand the history of black Americans, how their ancestors were treated, and how various individuals overcame enormous obstacles to achieve greatness in a variety of areas. It's a reminder of how blind and horrible humans can be in their treatment of others - and an inspiration as to how resilient humans can also be.
