Why Italy
Where there any tragic and/or memorable events that happened in ITALIAN history on the 11th?
We saw a sign that said "I will never forget the eleventh" in Italy, as Americans we automatically assumed it was talking about 9/11 but now I'm curious if that's really what it is referring to.

The two historical events of september were: 8 Settembre 1943 the yield of Italy to the ally powers. 20 Settembre the 1870 entrance of the Italian troops in Rome. But the all Italy was hit painfully from the tragic facts happened in USA eleven september 2001...
