- Casanova's Life: Timeline 1725 to 1798. Giacomo Girolamo Casanova is born in Venice on 2 April, 1725. Casanova dies at Dux on 4 June, 1798. According to the Prince de Ligne, his last words are: "I have lived as a philosopher, and die as a Christian."
