- According to the Ethnologue, 61,489,984 fluent NATIVE speakers. Wikipedia suggests that there are 100-120 millions who speak in total.

- I do...I've been living in Italy almost 8 years now. I can speak, read, and write it....oh, and many native Italians can't tell I'm a foreigner either. =)
