Why Italy

Which food is better : French or Italian?

Personally, I have always liked Italian food better. But I have never tried French. Is it good? I don't like eating snails...

  1. i personally like french food.
  2. Italian,frog legs are nasty.
  3. Italian
  4. I like both. I am italian, so I have the luxury of having italian food every so often, and french food est tres bonne, so i really can't decide.. I suppose its a matter of my mood, and what I feel like eating.
  5. I eat Italian a lot, like the taste of French too but they are more expensive.
  6. I love Italian Food!
  7. Italian
  8. ITLIAN
  9. For parties in our French class, we have crepes with whipped cream and pie filling (either cherry or blueberry), and croque-monsieurs, like a grilled cheese sandwich, but with ham as well. Neither are very good in my opinion. I love all of the pasta and have actually had two genuine Italian meals in Italy. The appetizers are really frightening, but after your third course of some sort of pasta, everything is right in the world again.

  11. I like more Italian,I try both kind of food and trust me Italian is the better one.

  22. Italian. If I go out to an Italian resturant that has an all u can eat buffet... then I would PIG OUT!
  23. Italian food for sure. You could eat Italian food everyday and still have an amazing variety. I'm sure there is a variety of French food too, but you better like wine.
  24. be sure Italian food is better:)
  25. italian!
  26. Italian food has more character than French food, I mean, it's more distinct/different. It's zestier and has more zip, in general. A lot of French food is more bland, subtle flavors, and they use a lot of cream and cheese...lots of dairy. It's an aquired tase in many cases (things like escargot for instance). An easy way to answer the question for yourself is to look in a phonebook...you will find a LOT more Italian restaraunts than you will French!
  27. Both. The both have very extensive cuisines depending upon the region of the country and amount of elaboration. For example, the is Classic French cooking which elevate food to an art form is the way that it is presented. It literally looks like a painting when served. It's often compared to classic Chinese cooking in that it is very elaborate and requires great skill to prepare. On the other hand, there are the provincial French cuisines with very different dishes between Brittany and Marseilles etc. Italian cooking also has great regional variation from the almost Swiss/German type of cooking in northern Italy to spicy dishes in southern Italy and Sicily and Sardinia. Anyone who says that they like one over the other has never really enjoyed either one.
  28. French is not food. Italians know how to eat. why do you think italians are fatter and the french stink?
  29. ♥i prefer french, it's delicious and you should try it...but, i always get a little hungry after. with italian i feel full and satisfied♥
  30. I personally prefer French. Eating Croissants on the left bank for breakfast. Escargot for dinner. French Wine at lunch and dinner. Yummy!
  31. I like Italian food the most. the only french foods that i like is French fries and French toast. Bon Appiete!
  32. I like both, but I find preparing Italian recipies is easier than preparing French recipies.
  33. French Fries!! No I'm kidding! Italian! I couldn't give up pizza! never.
  34. in my opinion italian! but then i have never really had french food except there desserts!! so normal food italian for desserts french!!
  35. French food isn't all about snails. French food is about taking time to eat with family or friends the very best vegetables, meat and bread and enjoying life. Italian food in much the same way is a celebration. Italian food may favor tomatoes over cream sauce, but it's not better or worse than French. Anyway - my taste and opinion say they are both deserving of our consumption.
  36. lol-I am in the same boat as you! I like the laid back style of the Italian food. All the French food seems so fancy!
  37. Italian
  38. I eat the french and the Italian but the Italian is more delicious
