  1. Check this site out: http://www.annamariavolpi.com/what_is_italian_cooking.html
  2. http://www.lifeinitaly.com/food/ Try this site, it has history of pizza and bread, myths and legeands, rules of Iltalian meals, etc. This should help you get some ideas!
  3. http://www.italylink.com/foodarticles/cooking.html
  4. The food network's site should have a wealth of info for you.
  5. There is the best cook book ever called "GASTRONOMIQUE" it tells the history of all foods, the wines and desserts and what should be served together...cheeses, everything...for real...its unbelieveable...and thorough.
  6. The following are italian websites with an english version: http://www.mangiarebene.net/ http://www.theitaliantaste.com/italian-cooking/recipes-index.shtml http://www.cucinait.com/World/Home_We.asp http://www.cookaround.com/cook/
  7. Mario Batali's page on wwwfoodnetwork.com is the best. Giada DeLaurentiis' page is okay, but it's a lot lighter than Molto Mario.
