If Italy is said Italy but food from Italy is called Italian wouldnt it be Italyian food?
becuase if food from it italy ir itialian food italy is pronounced italy but the food is ilaalian the a in italy is pronounced differently because you think food from italy would be italian food not italian the a makes a different sound the food from italy should have the same pronunctiation as italy but with ian added to the end?

- LOL. What an amusing question. It's hard to believe you wasted 5 perfectly good points on this. But I think I understand your question. Both food and people from or originating from Italy are called Italian, no arguments, take it as it is. Same goes with French, Mexican, Persian, etc.
