Why Italy

Should Italian culture be seen like Jewish and Arabic since the Etruscans were Semites?

The Etruscan kings dominated Rome and the patrician aristocracy. The Etruscan religion and priesthood dominated Rome. The Roman empire adopted Christianity, which was a Semitic religion. The Romans gave Semitic religion to all of Europe and ultimately America.

  1. Yeah. Only better - they have pizza. Shouldn't you be trolling the Religion & Spirituality section?
  2. No, it should be seen as Italian culture. Religion and culture are two very distinct entities. Culture is basically a way of life - how things are done in a given region where as religion is a belief system. For the most part, and with the exception of extremist forms of religion, how we live our lives is rarely dictated by our belief system.
  3. Italians are not Etruscans. Italy was home to many well-known and influential European civilizations, including the Etruscans, Greeks and the Romans.
  4. Only a small part of Italian culture descends from the Etruscan branch; besides, Etruscans origins have always been a mystery, and it's a mystery how they disappeared. Sorry!
