Why Italy
italian culture for a 16 year old?
i'm going to italy this fall for a year for a foriegn exchange program. i'll be going to school there, etc. are there any customs i should know about? any advice? suggestions? thank you!

- Just be prepared for unbelievable rudeness. For a list of examples, see my question "Why do Italians hate Americans?"
- study hard and bring all types of tec stuff, and adapters and they are old fashion, so you will have fun, but like camping.
- Well, it'll help to know of how we eat. We eat in courses... we chew slowly to appreciate the food. One rarely eats dessert except when outside for fun every now and then. Usually bread and cheese or fruit take the place of dessert after dinner. We love to hug people and kiss on both sides of the cheeks twice. We're affectionate people and we can be pretty loud sometimes, but not so much so as the Americans. Remember to say "ciao" often. :)
- hi i'am italian, what do u wan know about Italy? Where \re u going to stay? Rome, Milan, Sicily? In italy u can chose many things to do ...it offers a lots especially if u go in a big city. Some place are very open and people are easygoing some not
- If you're mobbed up, you don't have anything to worry about. And the pizza there sucks, and the people stink. Other than that, you'll love it!
