Just curious but why is that Italian and French culture are extremely close?
I know all cultures around the world have something in common but French and Italian culture are extremely close.

- I don't really see the similarities.
- I believe it is that they both went through a considerable cultural change during the Renaissance. The art, music, education, and philosophy of both countries "grew up" together.
- I don't think you've even been to France or Italy, because they aren't at all alike.
- French and Italian cultures share common ancient Roman heritage. Italy was the heart of the Roman empire and the territory of France is what used to be a Roman colony Gallia. The french and italians have very similar languages, which are based on Latin, the language used in ancient Rome.
