  1. Best place to go to is San Marino it is simply stunning.
  2. Genoa is quite popular. More for the adults certainly.
  3. depends what you want to do! ADULTS Could recommend Spoleto in Umbria - they have wine and jazz festivals. Also close to Montefalco a well respect Italian red wine area Sicily is great, lots of history and all easily accesable KIDS For kids I think anywhere where there is a pool! Places close to the beach could be Grosetto in Tuscany - you get the best of both worlds beach and lovely countryside.
  4. The Italian Lakes are stunning.
  5. I'm italian (I hope my english is good...;) ) so maybe I can help you: FOR ADULTS it depends on what you mean: roma, florence and venice are some of the most beautiful places in the world if you like art, but if you're looking for fun, parties and binges you might prefer Milan (in winter) or Sardinia (in summer)! If you love nature, instead, you should visit Tuscany or Dolomites (my suggestion is Val Di Fassa in Trentino Alto-Adige) or Sicily. FOR KIDS children LOVE italian sea, so I recommend Puglia, Sicily or Sardinia but overall Castiglione della Pescaia (Grosseto) and the Cinque Terre, which are enjoyable both for adults and for kids! There's also Gardaland near the Garda Lake which is like Disneyworld, you know? That's great! Finally, I'm from San Benedetto del Tronto, which is a seaside resort known for its palm-trees and its skyey sea, why don't you come here next summer? See ya!
  6. For adults all Italy is Beautiful of course . Nature, history churchs monuments.. food and drinks While for kids.. See here for Amusements parks http://www.aquafan.it/ near Rimini and Riccione http://www.mirabilandia.it/index_en.htm near Ravenna Mirabilandia is a theme park located at Savio in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. http://www.gardaland.it/en/home.php Near Garda Lake and Verona Gardaland is a theme park in Veneto, Italy. Built on the eastern shore of Lake Garda at Castelnuovo del Garda, the park opened in 1975. It has expanded steadily in both size and attendance, topping 1 million visitors annually for the first time in 1984. By 2004, attendance reached 3.1 million. But I think kids will be happy also to visit Toscana, Umbria and other regions (nature+ animals) because there are a wonderful landscapes you can go to bed in Agritourism…
  7. depends what you like to do.. if you want good beaches, fantastic food, fabulous wine, stunning scenery and more ancient history than you can shake a stick at the region of campania is for you.... pompeii herculaneum paestum naples salerno sorrento agropoli the amalfi coast home of the pizza, accept no substitutes to the campanian pizza home of mozzarella di buffala and for beaches you cannot beat the coast from palinuro down to maratea beautiful sea and quiet beaches.. as for the weather, again comes up trumps rainful is rare from may to september, temperatures in august can top 40°C in the summer there's always something to do wether it's a local festa-saint day or a sagra- a festival with traditional local food, you will not be disappointed how do I know.. i live here it's beautiful and will take your breath away... see links below for views, hotels etc....
  8. Turin is becoming very popular after the last olimpici games...and i thing is an amazing city!!!but i live there so my opinion doesn't mean a lot
  9. i'm italian and I think that the best place to visit in italy for adults is Florence and the all Tuscany. and if you had a lot of time to spend in italy you can visit the alla tuscany by train, and other cities like rome or naples are not too far. Don't go to milan. It's a really foggy and grey city, nothing to visit. I lived there for two years and it's a really sad place. naples it's better than milan. and sicily too. For childrend....i think that this summer they could enjoy sardinia, and the italian seaside, but they will be bored if they visit an art city...but for a family i think that the best place to go is tuscany... Enjoy your visit in italy and sorry for the grammar mistakes in this answer Silvia
