Why Italy

Can anyone recommend a reputable tour company in Italy for my upcoming vacation in Rome, Venice, and Florence?

Traveling to Italy mid-March 2007 - 3 days in Rome, 2 days in Venice, 2 days in Florence and would like to start booking tours but am having a difficult time deciding on which tour "company" to book with. I'd like to stick with the same company for booking tours in all 3 locations in Italy if possible.

  1. This tour company is great and ideal for those travelling between the ages of 18 and 35. They're high energy, exciting and don't miss a thing. You'll learn so much and enjoy yourself in the process. They're called Contiki Tours. Check out the link I provided. I had the opportunity to play a soccer game against their Italian tour crew in Florence a year and a half back when I studied in Italy. Fun group of people. They even have a specific tour generated for Rome, Venice & Florence so look for that. Enjoy!! www.contiki.com
  2. If you want to have sex with a different person every night and spend half your trip hanging over a toilet, go with the suggestion above me. Have you considered booking a Rick Steve's tour? His guidebooks are great (especially for first-time visitors) and you never have to worry about getting good value for your money- he really knows how to stretch your travel dollar. However, he only does full-package tours that include everything and are on set schedules. If you're planning to book your own domestic travel and accommodation, you'd be better off investing in a few good guidebooks and just showing yourself around the cities you want to visit. Trust me, I MOVED to Italy with five days notice and no knowledge of Italian... you can definitely plan your own city sightseeing tours!
