  1. We spent two weeks in Rome and sampled every restaurant we could. We were unable to find a bad restaurant. Remember, the tips are included in the price of the meal.
  2. I've been to Rome, Pisa, Florence and Venice and I can tell you that any restaurant is good enough to enjoy. Look for real italian ones (though they aren't very popular, there are some "fast food" ones...no good). Don't miss the ice cream, get in as soon as you find a "Gelateria". Try the wine of each region or town with every dinner. In Rome, avoid food from street stalls, it is rubbish and nearly as expensive as in a restaurant!
  3. Trattoria Marione Via della Spada 27/r 50123 Firenze This is a typical restaurant that has been in the same spot in Florence for many years. They are famous for typical Florentine porterhouse steaks (bistecca alla fiorentina) one steak is enough for two. You can look it up o a map, it's between the central train station and the cathedral.
  4. The cutest restaurant in Florence with great food is L'Osteria di Giovanni. It is located on Via del Moro, 22. When you walk in they treat you like family. They also place on your table when you sit down an appetizer that I can only liken to fried dough that is a little salty but addictive. The website is located below
