What aree some facts about Florence Italy?

I need information on Florence for a fake passport project for my English Class.

The city's crest has a lily on it. There is a lot of art, statues, ornamental buildings etc. in the downtown area. There are street artists who use chalk/pastels to recreate masterpieces that are amazing. The Arno River (dirty water) flows thru the middle of the city. And lastly, there are a lot of pick pockets.
it looks real messy...I went there a few years ago, and Yea, the statue of David is there.
