Why Italy
Does a person need a travel check to travel from Italy to usa, if they r a Ukraine citizen? Proof of funds?
I have a friend coming from Italy, she is a Ukraine citizen but lives in Italy. She says shes needs a travel check of 500.00 for proof of funds to travel here...is this true?

- What she needs is a B-2 tourist visa to enter the U.S. To get that she needs proof of suffcient funds in the bank that they will believe she will return home. She also needs sufficient funds for her trip. if she is asking you to send her money...it is a SCAM...do not do it. I have never hard of a "travel check" for proof of funds...and $500 would certainly not be enough to satisfy a visa officer for her to get a visa.
