  1. There isnt really a cheaper month to travel here to Italy. It depends on the airline and what they wanna charge. Mess around with the dates on the flight websites and see what is cheaper. As far as Rome being cheap...its not at all! They dont raise their prices more one month than the other!
  2. En invierno Che! :)
  3. The winter is the cheapest- January, February. It's coldest there so obviously that's going to draw less tourists than the summer season. But it is still going to be expensive, even the best deals will be $500 a ticket or more. And that's just airfare not even hotel/food/etc.
  4. Check out Alitalia Airlines...they have some great deals from LAX or NYC to Rome. I am not sure of other departure cities. Alitalia is an Italian Airlines. I found Rome to be actually cheaper than many parts of Italy, such as Milan or the Lakes. It is my favorite place in all of Italy and everywhere you look is a piece of history. I spent 4 days there, but couldn't have seen all of it if I had stayed a month. Of course the winter months are the cheapest to travel, but the rain is something to consider. Go in October...it is still nice weather, but the summer prices are down. If you go....BE SURE to eat at a place called Il Piperno...meriviglioso!
  5. August, January, or February. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bmhbb.info/acm6 and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
