Apartments to rent for a week in Venice italy?

I'm going to be staying in Venice, Italy for a week and wanted to rent an apartment. It would be for two people. It would be awesome if we were on the grand canal. if anyone knows a good hotel it would be cool too. So any info on an apartment or hotel. Thanks!

Usually when I stay in Venice, I like to be near Piazza San Marco because when I stay overnight it's for some specific event like Carnevale or Il Redentore. There are lots of others. I can't recommend any specific one since I live 2 hours from Venice and have not stayed in an apartment there.
2. Hi, apartments for rent in Venice are really expensive...you could check the real estate agencies in Venice and they can help you with eveything (even come pick you up from the station!). Some people stay in Mestre which is really close to Venice and a LOT cheaper but I don't recommend that. July and August are the busiest months and also the most expensive. Personally I love the Europa&Regina, it's a beautiful hotel, close to St. Mark Square and the grand canal.
3. yes, my advise is to select hotel in venice, coz apartments are less there and maybe expensive as well, but hotels you have so many options. you can select the hotel match to your budget with matching the services they offer.
