Why do Americans fetishize Italian language?
I don't understand why so many white American people say Italian language is so beautiful. They also tend to say Italian food is their favorite and Italian people are attractive. Is it just white Americans' ignorance and lack of exposure to other cultures? Or is it that the concept of "Italian", though foreign, is "white" enough to appeal to even the most xenophobic white people?

- I don't know what you are talking about. Im American and i find that a lot of my countrymen think the French language is is beautiful. And Spanish. And Italian food is yummy. Whats wrong with it being a favorite? I have also noticed that a lot of Italian women are bigger. Most American men don't like big women. The men are good looking to women because a lot of women like tall dark and handsome. That's what Italian men are. So i think you are just seeing something that's simply not there. Stop picking on us for every little thing! Its called preference.
- mark F It's a lack to culture and studying especially history. Pizza invented by italians? Nope The origin of pizza actually goes back to the ancient times and include the Babylonians, Israelites, Egyptians, and a variety of other Middle Eastern cultures. GOD BLESS
