  1. Rosetta Stone, even through the 3rd level, will not make you fluent in Italian or any other language. The time required to become fluent depends on your abilities and commitment. Say between 2 and 10 years.
  2. Any language it would depend on how much you use the software and how long you practice. The software will help you tremendously, but actually conversing with people will make you learn 10X faster. I learned Arabic through a software and it took me 2 years to get started, and I would practice everyday. Went to a country that spoke arabic, Bahrain, and learned so much more in 5 months then I would have ever done in those 2 years. I now speak Arabic almost fluently. Good luck and stick with it.
  3. probablly 10 years seriously man Rosettastone Rotts, its all Flash cards its a waste of Money sorry but i think so
  4. First, you can't become fluent just by using Rosetta Stone. It's the best way to start off learning a language, but it doesn't have every single grammatical structure or every single word in the language. If you're asking how long it takes to get through the whole program, it depends on the person. Just to do the exercises, it might take about 100 hours all together to do all three levels, but that doesn't take into account how long it will take you to figure things out or how long it would take you to remember everything. If you're of normal intelligence, it might take about six months on an average of one hour a day (of course you could do seven hours every Saturday or two hours every other day or something). Use the audio companion whenever you can and get supplementary books to practice more, "Easy Italian Reader" is good. Also, rent Italian movies.
