  1. ummm PASTA !!
  2. how about a good old four cheese pizza and any pasta? That would make my day! :) go to www.foodnetwork.com enjoy and i hope i helped.
  3. lasagna is actually pretty easy and a great italian dish to make. check out the recipes on food network's site. it's great because it's hard to mess up and it looks like it's harder to make than it really is.
  4. fettuccini alfredo! just boil some pasta & make the sauce - i use the "quick and easy alfredo" recipe from allrecipes.com. mix with some steamed broccoli and grilled or sauteed chicken pieces & voila! (some other suggestions: lasagna, baked ziti, calzones, pizza, shrimp scampi, pasta carbonara... just do a search on allrecipes.com for great recipes for all of these. hope this helps - i LOVE italian food! don't forget the garlic bread!)
  5. Spaghetti Bolagneise!!!! for sure!!! There are so many ways you can do it it becomes your own so if you want it to be special spaghetti bolagneise is the best because its sort of your own personal italian recipe :) All you have to do is boil spaghetti (or any pasta you want) until it's cooked (you can tell its cooked if its not hard and sort of rubbery or if you fling a bit at the wall and it sticks). Then for the sauce just brown an onion and a clove of garlic, add mince meat and cook, adding salt. then add a can of diced tomato's or fresh (your choice), about one and half to two table spoons of tomato paste, about a tbsp of basil, a tsp of sugar and a tbsp of lemon or citric acid. mix all together and continue adding until you've got the taste you want. you can add veg's and herbs to your liking. you can even add red wine if you like. put the pasta on a plate and pour the mince sauce on top! hey presto! very easy VERY yummy :) good luck.

  8. This is VERY yummy !! Fettuccini Carbonara 5 teaspoons olive oil 4 shallots, diced 1 large onion, cut into thin strips 1 pound bacon, cut into strips 1 clove garlic, chopped 1 (16 ounce) package fettuccini pasta 3 egg yolks 1/2 cup heavy cream 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese salt and pepper to taste Serves 6. Heat olive oil in a large heavy saucepan over medium heat. Saute shallots until softened. Stir in onion and bacon, and cook until bacon is evenly browned. Stir in garlic when bacon is about half done. Remove from heat. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain pasta, then return it to the pot. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, cream, and shredded Parmesan. Pour the bacon mixture over the pasta, then stir in the cream mixture. Season with salt and pepper. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
