What are some fairly inexpensive programs (preferably with audio) that can help me learn Italian fluently?
I am currently taking Italian II in high school. For my Italian I class, I had a wonderful teacher who taught me so much, and made me passionate about the language. I have hardly learned anything in my current class, and I know that in order to become fluent like I passionately want to, I need to take matters into my own hands.

- Rosetta Stone or an Italian tutor might help.
- Well, you could try finding stuff at your library, that's how I began learning Italian. Check if the have Colloquial Itlain from the Colloquial Series--to me, this program is great. You could also try Italianissimo, that's okay--I think it's from the BBC or something. http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian/issimo/index.shtml http://www.omniglot.com/language/phrases/italian.php If you really have a fair understanding of Italian try finding some Italian media. Music, films, etc. You can also make flashcards and look up lyrics and literature in Italian to expand your vocabulary. At least check out the music! I don't really know how much Italian you know, except that you're in level two. Well , you can use this: http://www.ielanguages.com/italian.html Remember to practice everyday, and to use it as much as possible. You could also try making friends on livemocha.com--you could find an Italian speaker to converse with and help you out. I suggest you surround yourself with the Italian language by getting into the habit of speaking it ouside the classroom with friends, listening to music, and watching some italian films. Ciao!
