Brasil has beaten Italy twice in the World Cup finals: 1970 & 1990 ... besides when Italy won the WC in 1934 & 1938 who really was playing soccer, countries didn't travel to far away places at that time. 1934 was hosted in Italy & 1938 was hosted in France. 16 teams played in 1934 & 15 teams palyed in 1938. the world was not ready to play soccer across the world at that time. 2. Brazil is just all around better. The way they play seems better than Italy. Also Brazil can beat Italy any day.

5. A big problem here is this question leaves a lot of room for discussion. If you're asking who is better now, who has had better overall players, which country creates the best players, or who has better food is not specifically adressed. As of now, Italy are World Cup Champions, arguably making them the better of the two. However over the long-term, Brazil has 5 World Cup wins and Italy has 4. Brazil has had probably the best players in the world EVER, (gradually getting more current) Pele, Carlos Alberto, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Adriano, Vagner Love, etc. Italy, more on the defensive side, has still produced great players. Cannavaro, Maldini, Del Piero, the lists go on for both countries. Soccer's a tough sport to apply a uniform rubric to, so I guess the best way is to mathematically determine the best. As you said, Brazil beat Italy 3 times vs 2 losses when it mattered the most (world cup), and Brazil has more World Cup trophies. The best: USA (just kidding) Brazil

7. They are 2 completely diffrent teams, like Brazil has a good attacking side but Italy has a good Defending side, so you cant really compare Italy and Brazil.
