i am 19 and going to italy alone.I have heard a myth that they look down on red heads

5. After reading your question, I sent an email to my boy friend asking him if it was true about red heads. He said it was not true, and said there were red heads among Italians, not many though. He never heard of Italian not liking Irish. So don't worry about your hair color. He lives in the Northern Italy though. Being a girl going to a foreign country alone, you have to be very careful, expecially if you go to southern italy, for it is said to have more crimes over there.
