If i were to travel to italy will two years experiance learning the language do me any good at all?

ive taken italin 1H and italian 2H in highschool. i was just wondering if it would help at all talking to people in italy.

You bet it will. Learning and perfecting a language will only help you in life, and the experience of living in Italy will also help in many ways. Example, after college I spent nearly 5 years traveling around the world. For better than three years I did not sleep in a bed, or own more stuff than I could fit in a giant backpack. The experience from spending time in India mostly has given me great stories to talk about that in turn helped me to get some very good jobs. If you have a chance to travel and learn a language, then absolutely do it! I am so glad that I did. (I speak English, French, and some Hindi and Italian... Very handy.)
