How much would it cost to stay in hostels across Italy for 3 weeks?
I'd like to do a self-directed bike tour of Italy, staying in hostels along the way. Could someone please offer a ballpark figure for cost of accomodation, groceries, plus a recommended budget for sightseeing? Please use Italian Lira as a currency. Thank you very much!

Exchange rates: 1 EUR ~ 1,60 US$ 1 EUR ~ 1,62 CAN$ 21 nights in youthhostel just bed 420 € 21 days groceries 420 € 21 days others incl. sightseeing 510 € Total is round about 1.500 € incl. smaller risks. Do not forget a card for the cash-mashines. If you become ill you have to pay for the doctors cash.
