Why Italy

After all, God is Dutch, Jesus is Romanian - Would it be brilliant if Romania eliminate France and Italy?

with one single goal? Now that Netherlands has clinched the top position in the group. They can let Romania win the last group match (by resting the top players) and both France and Italy will go home on Tuesday.

2. Platini would rip his last hair out. Adieu? Arrivederci? Italy and France are dangerous teams once out of the group stage. By kicking both of them out, Holland makes life easier.
3. I want Romania to win, but I don't want Holland to let them win. I want to see a good game. Holland should put in their second team and whatnot, but they should still play like they want it, because otherwise it will be a hallow victory and it won't give Romania any confidence...and they'll need more then that vs. Spain.

7. Nothing new under the sun....!! It has already occurred to Italian team 4 years ago in Portugal ?? Do you remember ?? Last match between Sweden and Denmark ended 2-2 and this was the only possible result to eliminate Italy. I agree Italy is not playing well but even in yesterday's match a wrong lines-man call (I've no doubts Toni's goal was perfectly valid..) has put almost an end to our qualifying hopes after the disaster with Holland (but their first goal was also not regular..). However let's see what happens with next Tuesday matches. If Holland plays a regular match (obviously they're absolutely free to make substitutes turnover) and Romania wins I will be the first one to congratulate Mutu and his fellows. As to France I think they will loose their match vs Italy. ADDED on June 18th - Italy eliminated France and goes ahead...and now ??
