Do you think a Chinese person could be an Italian food head chef successfully, or vice versa? (In kitchen that have many sub-ordinate Italian decent, vice versa) As I just realize that success in food is different from like mastering programming or inside laboratory. As food representing cultural image? If you know someone who have succeeded this cross-cultural achievement, pls mention the name..

- Why not?
- Why not? It's not about the race but the knowledge and passion in it.
- ABSOLUETLY THIS KIND OF FOOD IS IN HIGH DEMAND
- I only buy Japanese food from Japanese people. German food from Germans, Ukrainian food from Ukrainians, etc. I think that it adds more to the dining experience when you are being waited on and cooked for by people of whatever origin the food is.
- Uh, yea. Have you ever seen that show, "Iron Chef"? Those Japaneese dudes are serving up all kinds of different dishes from different cultures, including fine Italian dishes.
- Absolutely! As long as you study in a certified chef's school there should be no problem. If you already know several food cultures, go for it. Best wishes.
- Definately, food is not decided by the ethnicity of the person. It is all about the talent of the chef!
- try iron chef. japanese cooking italian, french and chinese cuisines.
- You know, the best Italian food I've ever had was prepared by a man named "Sharma" in the German town of Pforzheim - and he was Indian. So, my answer would be: If that Chinese chef can pull it off, nobody will care where he comes from. It's about the food, not about the chef.
- It's just a little funny trying to imagine a chinese guy raving about his spaghetti.."Mama Mia! mmouaaa!! ha ha ha Other than that,if he doesn't mix his pasta with his noodles he may be acceptable :-D
