What is the cheapest way to travel to italy.?

  1. I live in Sicily but I travel to the USA a lot. Here is what you do, use travelocity and use the flexible dates. Fly directly into Rome. If you can set it up to fly from a major hub. I usually fly from ROME (FCO) to Anchorage AK (ANC) however it costs a fortune for a straight ticket. What I do is buy a R/t with teh flex dates from rome to seattle then another to anchorage. try getting to a major hub first like New York, then fly from there. It will be cheapest. To fly from rome to sicily (catania) there are tons of flights everyday. However id stay away from certain airlines ALITALIA is garbage, if they loose your bag good luck, also the refund policy is very sketchy. Air one, meridiana, and other run from rome to sicily. You can get a r/t for about 130 dollars. Find that on travelocity also. good luck.
