Why Italy

Whats a good Italian nickname for a girl?

Theres this Italian girl I've been dating and I want to give her a nickname, just something simple to store her in my phone as. I was thinking something like my girl/baby girl but I don't know the proper slang terms in Italian for those words. Thanks in advance.

  1. "Bella"for Beautiful
  2. What about: Bambina = little girl If you need the pronunciation, go to this website: http://www.acapela-group.com/text-to-speech-interactive-demo.html I've tried it and it's great. Just type the word or words you need to know, choose the speaker/ language and click on 'Say it' to listen to it as many times as necessary.
  3. Bella is the best
  4. I'm Italian so I guess I can help somehow better...I'd say Bella is not bad, however it wouldn't be heard like a real nickname, but just a nice compliment. Id' go into a more personal thing, the sort of: - Tesoro ("treasure", a bit like Honey) - Amore ("Love") - Fiorellino ("Tiny flower" - maybe a bit too hard to pronunciate!) - Stella ("Star")
  5. Bella Stella (beautiful star) And it rhymes too!
  6. - il mio amoruccio (it means "my little love") - la mia cucciola (literally it means "my puppy", but it's also used as a cute nickname for someone you like) - la mia piccola (similiar to "baby girl") - Tesoro - Tesoruccio (more cute than "tesoro")
