Why Italy

Does anyone know any good ways to learn Italian?

I've always wanted to learn Italian, and I'm taking it as a language. Any advice to help make learning it a little easier?

  2. no clue i just know its the laguage of romance well at least one of them. email me at sweetsk8er118@yahoo.com and we can talk about it more i look exactly like my avatar im really hot
  3. I had the blessing of being raised Siciliano...so the language is second nature. Now, for those in other circumstances....I reccomend Pimsleur CD's sold @ Barnes n' Noble. Fantastic teaching method...highly reccomended, and not so expensive that it'll break the bank.
  4. The best way to learn any language is to take a class. Pimsleur is a great way to get started on your own. The complete program is pretty expensive, but luckily a lot of libraries carry it, so you can probably learn for free. How cool is that? You can also look for language learning partners at http://www.sharedtalk.com/. Or just search Google. http://www.google.com/search?q=free+italian+lessons&btnG=Search&hs=Zj3&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s
  5. I took it from a very good instructor ... defiantly not fluent ... but the instructor focused on what a 5-year-old talks about and it made sense. Also, I really practiced my numbers ... I can count to 10,000. Yes, I Rollerblade and count my leg strokes in Italian. This is very helpful 'cas when you ask a question, 40% of the answer is usually numbers ... What time is it? <2:28> ... What is the address? <4454 W. Main St.> ... When is your birth day? 85/07/09 <Italians put their year first, month, day> ... How long is the train ride? 3 1/2 hours. See, it really pays off to learn the numbers. It does little good to ask a question and not be able to understand the answer. Buona fortuna!!! (Good luck)
  6. You can watch movies in Italian, read books in Italian, maybe Italian magazines. There must also be good sites that help you learn.
  7. Learn it from a native speaker and watch RAI.I also recommend movies starring Giancarlo Giannini. You can laugh and learn at the same time.
