What is the best/cheapest language book and dictionary to learn Italian?
I am using Berlitz...an old paperback book, but I am looking for the best one. I also am interested in finding the best and most complete dictionary (book and online) to learn Italian.

- http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian/lj/menu.shtml this is the cheapest well it's free. copy and paste that link and start learning better Italian right away. It has videos and conversational Italian. I just got an A in a ITA-121 course and all I did was practice 2 x a week and my nom de plum was Guisseppe Blanco a pitare from Fierence. Good Luck
- Rosetta stone is the best package
- The cheapest one would be one you don't pay for. Go to the library and borrow one of theirs. If there are no Italian CDs/tapes/books, ask them to order a set from another library.
- I have put together a selection for you of those books and online resources that I have found to be the best over the last few years - http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-more.com/learn-italian-cd.html
