Are most books sold at local book stores in Italy written in Italian language?

How about books written in English and French? Should you go larger book stores to buy books written in the foreign languages?

Chain stores like Feltrinelli have foreign language sections including French, English, etc. In addition, there are some bookstores that specialize in English or other foreign languages. Airport bookstores in places like Bologna and Milan carry books in English and other languages, but smaller airports like Verona do not.
3. Feltrinelli bookstore is your best bet for finding books in other languages. English books are very expensive - 11 to 15 euro for a paperback! Many hotels have a book swap from the books guest have left, take a book to read or leave a book you have finished.
