Why Italy

Does anyone know what feeding grapes to women means in old Italian tradition?

I've heard that men feeding grapes to women means something significant in old Italian tradition, can anyone please elaborate and help me out here? I'm hoping for more than 'he likes her'...

  1. yes. there was this old tribal man. his name was okinowa. and he had a strong belief in spirits, just like the majority of tribal men. one day he found that his wife was pregnant, and he prayed to the gods that we would have a son. after she gave birth, it was indeed a son. the boy grew strong, and became the tribes great warrior. okinowa was so proud of hackapoochie ( his son) he thanked the gods for answering his prayers and giving him a strong son. one day while hackapoochie was in the forest hunting monkeys he saw a coconut lying in the reeds. he picked it up and drank its milk. he killed a monkey that day, the tribal people all ate the meat, and they all became deranged. Hackapoochie was the only one not affected by the monkey meat. Then the missionaries came, and urbanized Hackapoochie and Okinowa's tribe. Hackapoochie was sent to the city, and there he became an engineer. The beginning of the Jaguar.
