How far in advance should I buy tickets to Italy?
I'm looking to go on vacation to Italy in the Sept/Oct/Nov area and I was wondering how far in advance I should purchase plane tickets to get the best rates? Right now the tickets are about $780/person. Will they be this cheap (or cheaper) later? I guess I should mention - these ticket prices were from Ohio (not a coast) and they're round-trip prices.

- Did you say $ 780 per person?Return flight?I can't believe it.Here in Italy if I buy a return ticket to NY I can pay at maximum € 400. Try this site www.travelprice.com
- Tickets to Italy are cheaper the faster you book. If you wait till the last minute, they will be very expensive. Also the summer months are peak travel season, so it's very difficult even in late August to find any available tickets to Italy.
- Buy them now, the longer you leave it the higher the price of the tickets you'll end up paying. Tickets will be cheaper generally if you buy them now for october/november as the peak tourist period is june-september.
- agreed. always by tickets as early as possible. price increases with demand and time. but try this site i provided. they tend to be cheaper than those big names most times. good luck!
