What are some tourist attractions in Italy? Things like the leaning tower of pisa?
I have to jot down a few places that are big in Italy, for my class tomorrow. Along with that, I must make a poster with pictures of each structure. Im feeling very lazy and don't feel like ripping apart the internet for cultural areas in the country :] So can anybody think of a few off the top of their head? Tourist-type attractions in Italy? Thank you!

- The Colosseum, Vatican and Circus Maximus
- In Venice there are many attractions. The canals are an attraction in their own right. I went up and down the canals all day while there. The Piazza San Marco is famous and beautiful day or night. http://members.cox.net/mkpl3/italvac/066-venice-st-marks-sq.jpg In Florence there is the famous Duomo http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.destination360.com/europe/italy/images/s/italy-duomo.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.destination360.com/europe/italy/duomo.php&h=332&w=415&sz=53&hl=en&start=3&um=1&tbnid=VT8oRAjftRzBuM:&tbnh=100&tbnw=125&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dduomo%2Bflorence%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN And also the Ponte Vecchio which is a bridge over the river Arno that has all these store and stuff built into it. There are statues and other stuff there as well. http://www.girovaghi.supereva.it/toscana/firenze-vista-ponte-vecchio.jpg Obviously the Colosseum in Rome can't be missed. http://www.travel-tidbits.com/tidbits/images/italy/I_Rome_Coliseum.jpg

- Rome - The Colosseum, The Roman Formum, Catacombs, The pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Vatican - (which is its own country but is located in the city of Rome) ... obviously the Sistine Chapel Cinque Terre - 5 coastal villages right on the cliffs. It's beautiful. Pompeii - It's a town that was entirely wiped out when Mount Vesuvius erupted. Pompeii was lost for years but the ruins were found much later on. Even people's bodies are left there (turned into stone or something.. it's really messed up but worth seeing). Well those are the only places I went in Italy besides Pisa. Good luck.
