What are the best air travel options to Italy from US?
We want to go to Italy the first week of September. Wish to spend time in Florence and Rome. Can originate from Detroit, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh. What is the most efficient way to get there by air? I'm looking for efficiency over price as time is our limiting factor. *best to fly through New York and then direct to Rome? *best to change planes in Europe (paris, amsterdam, etc.)? *best to fly direct to Paris and then take a high speed to Italy?

- CHOSE EUROFLY AIRWAYS & FLY DIRECT FROM NYC TO ROME. EUROFLY IS THE CHEAPEST AIRLINES !!!
- 1- Book a 21 day advance ticket 2- Cle had a direct flight to CDG Paris the air France to Florence I did that one ) 3- shop travelocity.com for all the info on which carriers goes and where. use the city pairs IE CDG Paris CLE Cleveland I think that Pitt ,..personally I would avoid bc of the airline u would use. 4-Fly ing from the US to Europe,. GET the first non stop across the Atlantic and then make connections. The longest leg is the best to take the first off!! Have Fun! pc of advise stay only 2 days is Florence,..it's beautiful but just one big enclosed museum
