Want to travel to Italy for the first time, love Tuscany any ideas?
I am in my mid 40's with my spouse. We want to go to Italy. It’s our First time. Want to visit Tuscany, Rome and Venice. People suggest renting a Villa and a car. We have two weeks end of Sept beginning Oct. Any Suggestions?

- i stayed in florence, which is amazing in itself, right in the heart of tuscany, from there you can do day trips to sienna, and pisa.Roma is awesome and you could stay there for two weeks but i would suggest head down to napoli (via the ruins of pompeii) andthen down to sorrento from there you can go to the amalfi coast and also a day trip to the isle of capri, visiting the blue grotto is worth the price of flying to itlay in its self, have fun eat lots of pizza!
- Cars are no good for Venice, so I wouldn't suggest driving. The trains can connect you nicely anyway. You should go in order though, either Rome-Tuscany-Venice, or backwards, so that you don't backtrack. Tuscany is the least crowded, so if you're looking for sceneries and relaxation, Siena and other Tuscan cities would do well for you. If you like excitement and plenty of nightlife, Rome is the best. Venice at night on gondola can be fun (expensive!!) but I wouldn't suggest hanging out at night tooo much because it's really hard to navigate through the canal 'streets' (even the locals get lost themselves!)
- Florence. Take the train.
- In September I suggest you to visit Lucca that is one of the most beautiful town of Tuscany and Italy. Ciao I am from Lucca.
- i suggest you to visit florence and pisa
