What is the easiest and most affordable way to travel from Rome, Italy to Positano, Italy?

I am considering renting a car and driving but some alternatives would be either a bus or train. The hotel would pick me up from the nearby city.

3. try buying a donkey and ride gasoline free. plus less polution unless you're standing right behind it when it decides to do a number two.
