  2. A hotel?
  3. My daughter and I stayed at " Planet 29" about three years ago and it was very nice, nothing fancy but it had everything we needed. It's within 2 blocks of the station. I just checked the prices and it's about 93 euro.
  4. Definitely do not chince on a hotel in Rome or you might get stuck in not only a bad area, but also a bad hotel. My husband and I spent 125 Euro a night, and it was kind of a dump. I would say any hotel chains would be good, or definitely NEAR one of the popular areas or piazza's. 150 Euro a night might work depending on the time or year you are going...but you might want to budget for about 200 Euro to be in a safe or nice place. Check out either the Frommer's or Fodor's websites for more detailed information. Good Luck!

  9. October is high season and want a Fri/Sat night stay - don't expect a luxury hotel for your budget. Many places will already be booked Try Gulliver's Lodge (www.gulliverslodge.com) or search by price at www.rometravelcafe.com.
