Why Italy
Anyone got any ideas for an Italian presentation?
I have to do a short presentation for my Italian class at uni, and i'm completely stuck for ideas! It can be anything to do with Italian culture, e.g. Cities/Italian celebrities/history/cultural festivals/national holidays etc etc I was just wondering if anyone could help me out and give me an idea for something nice and interesting to do? - cameo carving.....i believe there is a company in Naples. They carve them from shells. I think the majority of the cameo's on the market are carved there...not 100% positive though...check it out
- Maybe you can do something showcasing the different regions of Italy and how they really differ so much...e.g. food, dialects, lifestyle, resources etc...Northern and Southern cooking are extemely different in lots of ways...ingredients, preparation, style..etc...regions tend to use ingredients commonly found right in their backyard... http://www.annamariavolpi.com/page5.html I would try to do something along those lines...hope that helps...
- How about the famous perfumes of Capri? Carthusia is a world-famous company that makes perfumes solely from the flora and fauna of the Island of Capri, and they smell AMAZING. Elizabeth Taylor used to go there to buy her perfume (before she started making her own, of course). It's an interesting and unique story.
