What can be learned about Italian culture from the film "La Vita E Bella" aka "Life Is Beautiful"?
I'm completely drawing a blank on this homework question, especially since it's been a few months since I've seen the film. Any ideas to point me in the right direction are appreciated!

- Italy is about food leasure love and happiness. Businesses shut down for long lunches. The emphasis is on enjoying life to its fullest rather than economic gain or other american persuits. In that the film shows the love story between the father and mother at the beginning, and later with the father and son, and that he trys to make life full and joyful even in the dire ciromstances, it embodies the italian culture.
- The biggest thing I took from that movie is that Roberto Benigni is perhaps the most annoying person alive on the planet today.
- Well i think when you say "italian culture" it means things like uh, well the Italians at that time were fascists, as seen in the very first part of the film. And also they were very proud of their race, shown from the part of the film where they requested for an inspector from Rome to come to the school and address to the children how unique the Italian race was. Yeah you could go in that direction :)
