Italian Baroque Music?
Does any body know of any good music schools in Italy? I am very interested in 17th to mid-18th century Italian music (Baroque). Also, if anyone knows a good place to study piano and harpsichord, that would be great, too. Any suggestions are welcome!

- for the piano and harp go to Juillard
- The Santa Cecilia in Rome is a pretty famous conservatoire, if that's what you're looking for. Here's their site: http://www.santacecilia.it/scw/ The only other ones I know anything about are the San Pietro in Naples (Pergolesi and the Scarlattis had something to do with this one, so I guess harpsichord studies should be on their agenda!), and the Giuseppe Verdi in Milan (don't know if this has a specialist baroque department, but try contacting them anyway) There are a LOT of music schools/conservatoires throughout Italy, so happy searching! Maybe you should start by contacting one of the music institutions in US or UK for advice, and speak to their harpsichord/keyboard professors. They'll be happy to help, I'm sure.
- Vivaldi, Carissimi, Geminiani, Domenico and Alessandro Scarlatti, Bononcini. In Italy: Santa Cecilia (Rome), Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi (Milan). I don't know other places.
