I need an opinion about life in Venice, Italy...?

Hi! I am thinking about moving to Venice, Italy. I need to know what kind of jobs there are for a person like me that can speak English and Spanish. The Italian language I will master before I leave to Europe. What is day to day life like up there? I am a female who is nearly 50 yrs. of age. I would like to rent a 2 br. apartment or flat, but I don't know how to go about to find a job. I have been a furniture saleperson all my adult life, and I made a very good income with that. In Italy I was hoping to get into the hotel business as a hotel clerk. I am half Italian, and half Mexican. My 3 kids are grown up now and as a single woman I really want to reinvent myself now that my kids don't need me as much. Italy is a beautiful country I want to return to and I especially loved Venice. I do have family that live in Capua, Caserta, Italy, but I didn't care too much for the vistas there. Can someone out there give me some honest advice with honest experiences of Italy?
