Why Italy

Accomodations In Italy (Florence).?

I will be travelling to various parts of Europe. Italy is in my list. Going to Milan, Venice, Florence & Rome. I need some help to help us decide which location should I pick for my accomodations. I want some place centralised. Florence ( In May 5 – Out May 7 , 2 nights ) http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=30234&fuseaction=hosteldetails http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=18972&fuseaction=hosteldetails http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=3709&fuseaction=hosteldetails http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=4255&fuseaction=hosteldetails http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=5111&fuseaction=hosteldetails Thanks, Anne Voxx

  1. When I went to Florence I stayed at Hotel Montreal , which is at 43 via della Scala. We loved the location, because it is close to the train station, and it was nice not to have to lug our packsacks too far. Have fun, you'll love it. In venice we stayed here, I can recommend it - it was nice and clean, and again , not too far from the station: http://www.hostelbookers.com/booking/index.cfm?hostel=20187&fuseaction=hosteldetails#
  2. Of these choices, the last two are in the old town area ande within walking distance of all the attractions. Note that the 1st one is not in Florence. They offer four shuttles a day to the nearest train station and you'd have to catch the train there to get into the city. The Empoli station is a 28 to 40 minutes by train from the city (2.80 euro each way). If I had to pick one of these, I'd go with the Tourist House Italy.
  3. all the properties you listed are central enough and Florence is a small city so you won't have to walk too far. It's always nicer to get away from the crowds so san lroenzo, santa maria novella and santo spirito are good places. I've used this company for apartments and they always have good value http://www.holiday-velvet.com/florence and http://www.holiday-velvet.com/venice
  4. - The first one is not in Florence. - The second one is a little hostel not in the center of Florence, but it's close to one of the rail station. The area called "Campo di Marte" is not historical, but easy to get there. It's close to the stadium of Florence, beware if there are any soccer games! - The third one is a camping. Good position (near Piazzale Michelangelo) good view. Not easy to get there (just 1 bus).Only for the summer! - the 4th one is in the center of Florence, close to the main station. You can walk to every monument from there. The street is not beautiful but it's very touristic. - The last one is very close to the center! It's near Piazza Santa Maria Novella. You can walk easily to every place of Florence. Easy to get there from the station by foot. I think I would choose the last one.
