Why Italy

In Italian, is "c" as well as "cc" pronounced with the "ch" sound?

i mean is the single "c" pronounced the same way as "cc"?

  1. It depends on what comes after it, 'e' or 'i' after c or cc will make the 'ch' sound, 'a' 'o' and 'u' after c or cc will make the k sound: Focaccia sounds like Foh-kah-cha Ecco is pronounced eh-kko The double C just means that the C sound lasts a little longer than a single C would.
