Are European Airlines safe?

This summer I am going on a tour in Italy and my travel agent booked us on a non-stop flight on the Italian airline called Alitalia. Is this airline as safe as an American airline like US Air or United Airlines? Have they had more or less crashes and accidents? How am I racist? Last I checked, most people in Europe are white, and so am I.

Public Comments

  1. Safe? Not much in Europe is.
  2. Hun, your a racist craphead. it's the exact same as the US Airlines. RACIST POOHEAD.
  3. You"ll be fine. Skip British Airways because Heatrow airport, and don't fly with Aeroflot, they don't have a good safety record.
  4. You have nothing to worry about. As you'll find out when you get here, us Europeans are actually just as advanced as you americans are (your question seems to imply that you think we are somewhat more primitive than americans and so I think that's where the racist comment stems from, btw) and so our planes are just as safe as yours! Plus as most of our airlines aren't in the throws of bankruptcy/administration you tend to get free alcohol on scheduled flights so in my opinion they're an awful lot better!!
  5. Where do you think you're going to? Some backward country? That is extremely offensive to italians in particular (Alitalia is the nation's airline) and europeans in general. It's because of stupid arrogant and xenophobic attitudes like that that americans are not welcome anywhere in the world they go. Please don't come to Europe, we don't want ignorant americans like you over here.
