Why Italy

Do white men date black women in other countries(i.e France, Germany, Italy and Canada)?

I only ask this question because it's not very common in America and maybe black women should go to other countries if they want to date interracially because Americans have such a HUGE problem with black women/white/hispanic/asian couples(i.e shocked looks and stupid comments). P.S-I feel love is colorblind so this just for my couriosity. (And save the ignorant comments for your mama)

  2. of course!!!
  3. Yes, white men in other countries do date and marry black women. Amongst famous people: Several of Josephine Baker's lovers were white Frenchmen. Diana Ross was married to a Norweigian with whom she had twin sons. German tennis star Boris Becker was married to a black woman, and I believe he left her for yet another black woman. Leslie Uggams married a white Australian. Tina Turner's life partner is a Swiss German. Mick Jagger was known for dating black women, one of which inspired the song "Brown Sugar." David Bowie is married to Iman. Black and white mixed marriages are very common in the UK. There's also a number of Canadians who have dated interracially, too. Halle Berry's current partner and baby's father is French Canadian Gabriel Aubry, from Montreal. There were I/Rs even amongst the European royalty. Prince Albert of Monaco was in a relationship with Nicole Coste, a Togolese flight attendant, and fathered a child with her. Alexandre is not considered a legitimate heir to the throne, but he is an heir to the Prince's personal fortune. In 1999, Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein married a black woman 11 years his senior! The former Angela Gisela Brown is styled Her Serene Highness Princess Angela of Liechtenstein. They have a 7 year old son. I'm sure there are plenty of black women across the US who may have been exchange students in high school or college who cherish some memory of a European romance, too...just like people of other groups, too. I know personally of several black women who are dating or married to white men from Europe, and even Asian/Pacific Islander guys from Japan, Vietnam and Samoa. Most of them I met when I was in the military...which certainly brings its share of people together regardless of race, religion, etc. I would say though unless you have a desire to travel, there's really no need for black women to go outside the USA though to date a white man. The number of black woman/white male relationships in the US is steadily increasing. Things have gotten a LOT better than when I was a teen dating I/R in the 70s and in my 20s married in the early 80s. I'm now 47, my boyfriend of the past 7 years is white and we seldom if ever get any hassles.
  4. It is actually more common in America than you are led to believe. Interracial dating/marriages are popular everywhere. Especially nowadays. I say Love is Love.
  5. yes they do.
