  1. Best thing to do is to practice it with native Italian speakers. So, Head to Italy. Once you are immersed in the language it will become much easier to speak and understand.
  2. I would learn to speak Spanish first, they're a lot alike, just Spanish is easier to learn, and then, when you're ready move on to Itallian and it will be A LOT easier, that's what I'm doing
  3. I've been studying Italian for 6 years now. I am a non-native speaker. I have been taking it since high school and I am minoring in it in college. Some things that I like to do are to watch clips of shows I like in Italian. They help me learn by following vocabulary. I also have an index card ring, and anytime I learn new vocabulary, I write it down. I sometimes write short stories as well. I love to read short chapter books - the one I am reading now is called "Marcovaldo" by Italo Calvino so books like that also expand your vocabulary. I also conversate with people. Good luck continuing with it - It's a wonderful and beautiful language.
  4. Listen to http://www.italianpod101.com , it's a new podcast for learning the Italian language. Good luck!
  5. youtube has a lot of clips of teachers and tutors speaking Italian. I go there all the time to hear how the words are properly pronounced.
