Why Italy
Can anybody recommend some contemporary Italian music? NOT POP!?
I'm currently learning Italian and I'd love to listen to some contemporary Italian music, but the problem is that everything sounds so 80's/90's pop. Eros and Javanotti where already recommended, Some of Javanotti is ok, but Eros is so saccharine and poppy it makes me sick. Just as a reference, I like the Doves, U2, Coldplay in terms of rock. Love Neo-Soul (Raphael Saadiq, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and D'Angelo) There's GOT to be something interesting and edgy or soulful coming out of all of Italy. HELP! Thanks!
